Vivre Ballroom is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all visitors to our website, including individuals with disabilities. We are continually working to improve the user experience for everyone and to apply relevant accessibility standards.
1. Our Commitment
We strive to make our website usable and accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of ability or technology. This includes efforts to ensure our site is compatible with assistive technologies such as screen readers, and that it can be navigated using a keyboard alone.
2. Conformance Standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, which is the widely recognized standard for web accessibility. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological impairments.
3. Accessibility Features
Our website has been designed with the following in mind:
-
Text alternatives for non-text content, such as images
- Sufficient color contrast between text and background
- Consistent, predictable navigation throughout the site
- Resizable text that does not break the layout
- Keyboard-accessible navigation
4. Ongoing Efforts
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. As we update and add content to our website, we review it for accessibility and make improvements where needed. We also welcome feedback that helps us identify areas to improve.
5. Physical Studio Accessibility
-
Students are expected to treat instructors, staff, and fellow dancers with respect and courtesy at all times.
-
Appropriate dance attire and proper dance shoes are required in the studio for safety reasons.
-
Vivre Ballroom maintains a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate conduct of any kind.
-
The studio reserves the right to remove any individual from a class, event, or the premises for behavior that violates this code of conduct, without refund.
